Arianna Piccialli, from the Paris Observatory, is observing Venus using the NOrthern Extended Millimetre Array (NOEMA), situated near Grenoble in the French Alps. This telescope observes in wavelengths between the microwave and the infrared regions of the spectrum. Applied to Venus, this allows Arianna to study winds, temperatures and trace constituents in the upper atmosphere of Venus.
